Double Page Spread FINAL.
BEFORE
I wanted to continue the same gradient effect across the magazine, (as was on the cover) which is why I chose instagram again to go across the double page spread. But in this case because the hat of the model is blue, I wanted to put a blue gradient across the page, to keep some continuity. I still did keep with the overall colour scheme of dark red, green and black, by putting the name of the artist in those colours.
The shirt that my artist is wearing is due to the fact that graphic T shirts are very popular across the underground genre, and the fact that he had graphics on the back of his shirt also would be appealing to the reader. The brand of the shirt would also do this. (Billionaire Boys Club).

I chose my before image because I liked the clarity of the picture, and was clear that there would be a lot to work with. My teachers did ask questions as to why I put an Instagram effect on the photograph for my final cover,they felt that it made the clarity of the Image less. My justification for this was because of the vast increase in the use of Instagram over the last year. I felt it would do much better at attracting my target audience that the image alone would.
Drop shadows are Included on all the writing and any additional images to make them stand away from the brick wall. And to this, I added an outer glow to all the text to also make it stand away from the wall, but it looked pretty attractive also.
I added the graffiti because it was fitting with the brick wall and the URBAN look that my magazine had.
